Chairperson:
Leads the advisory board meetings and activities.
Provides guidance on the board's objectives and initiatives.
Vice-Chairperson:
Assists the Chairperson in leading the board.
Often steps in to lead in the Chairperson's absence.
Secretary:
Responsible for maintaining the records of the board’s activities.
Often manages communication and scheduling for the board.
Treasurer:
Advises on financial matters.
May oversee the financial reports and provide input on budgeting.
Advisory Board Members:
Offer expertise and insight in specific areas relevant to the organization's mission.
Engage in discussions and provide recommendations on various topics.
Community Liaison:
Acts as the bridge between the community the nonprofit serves and the board.
Ensures that community needs and perspectives are represented.
Industry Expert/Consultant:
Provides specialized knowledge in areas like logistics, legal issues, or nonprofit management.
Offers strategic advice based on industry trends and data.
Legal Advisor:
Advises on legal matters, compliance, and regulatory issues.
Ensures that the nonprofit operates within legal frameworks.
Ethics Officer:
Ensures that the board’s decisions align with the organization's ethical standards.
May oversee the development and implementation of ethical guidelines and policies.
